Konfetti, Champagner, Trommelwirbel! Anlässlich unseres 10-jährigen THE DORF-Jubiläums in 2024 haben wir zehn befreundete Designer, Künstler und Illustratoren aus Düsseldorf gebeten, ihre kreative Interpretation von „10 Jahre THE DORF“ frei umzusetzen. Das Ergebnis? Es ist mindestens so bunt und schön wie unsere Stadt. Viel Spaß & cin cin!

Shiwen Sven Wang ist ein Illustrator mit Spezialisierung auf Architektur und Editorial. Er interessiert sich besonders für die unscharfe Beziehung zwischen Illustration und Piktogramm. „Immer den Nagel auf den Kopf treffen – wissen, wo man die feinsten Klänge namens Musik findet. Wohin man gehen kann, um zu essen, sei es hier zu Hause oder auf Reisen. Hut ab vor denen, die es uns beschreiben – mit Web und Print umreißen. Zehn Jahre waren sicher nicht einfach – trinken wir darauf, dass es noch zwanzig weitere Jahre dauern wird.“ (@shivensvenwang)

Anna Pascher ist eine in Düsseldorf lebende zeitgenössische Künstlerin und Mutter zweier Söhne, die Design studiert und über 10 Jahre lang ein erfolgreiches Modeunternehmen in Berlin geführt hat, bevor sie sich schließlich ihrer wahren Leidenschaft, der Kunst, zuwandte. „Meine Intuition ist meine Inspiration und gleichzeitig meine Intention. Ich tauche in eine Szene ein, stelle mir die Atmosphäre vor und übersetze diese Empfindungen ohne viel nachzudenken in visuelle abstrakte Kunst. Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum 10-jährigen Jubiläum! On the occasion of our 10th THE DORF anniversary, we asked ten designer, artist and illustrator friends from Düsseldorf to freely realize their creative interpretation of „10 years of THE DORF“. The result? It’s at least as colorful and beautiful as our city. Enjoy & cin cin!
Illustrator specialising in architecture and editorial. He is particularly interested in the blurred relationship between illustration and pictogram. “Always hitting the nail on its head – knowing where to find the finest sounds called music. Where to go just to dine, be it here at home, or to travel. Hats off to those who describe it to us – outline it with web and print. Ten years were certainly not easy – let’s drink – that it will last another twenty.”

Anna Pascher is a Düsseldorf-based contemporary artist and mother of two sons, who studied design and ran a successful fashion company for over 10 years in Berlin before finally turning to her true passion, art. “My intuition is my inspiration and at the same time my intention. I immerse myself in a scene, envision the atmosphere and without overthinking, I translate these sensations into visual abstract art.” Happy 10th anniversary! THE DORF, you are wonderfully vibrant like a joyful birthday bash, inspiring like a piece of art, and as diverse as a large colour palette. Here’s to another 10 years! Cheers!
ZIMMERMANN is a design studio in the heart of Flingern, where everything revolves around creative ideas and visual concepts. The right approach is found for every need. Whether corporate identity or corporate photography, paper artwork or large-format murals. The different focuses make many things possible – so everything is offered from the idea to the implementation. And if you stop by in person, you’ll even get a delicious coffee. The artwork was teamwork. Guido conceived and illustrated the visual. Eva then realised it as paper artwork. Guido took the photo again. And together we wish you a happy birthday!
