Market Life: The faces of Carlsplatz

Palma de Mallorca has its Santa Catalina market, Barcelona its Mercat de la Boqueria and Porto the Mercado do Bolhão. And Düsseldorf has its traditional and oldest weekly farmers’ market Carlsplatz. This is not just a great place for buying everyday groceries but it’s also one of the coolest places in town.

Dort wurde das Gericht erfunden, was wir heute als den Inbegriff von italienischem Essen wahrnehmen: Pizza. Nu poc’ e’ Napule, ein von Außen eher unscheinbares Ecklokal an der Heyestraße, Ecke Nachtigallstraße in Gerresheim, eilt der gute Ruf voraus, dass es dort die beste Pizza der Stadt gibt.
